A new tile floor and stainless steel appliances were part of the kitchen remodel in this log home. Also, new cupboard doors made of Black Cottonwood to match the existing custom cabinets. A custom-built, freestanding cabinet in Black Cottonwood (right) was also added to this kitchen to increase storage, and counter space. A corner cabinet in solid Red Oak, built to our client’s specifications was the finishing touch to this kitchen remodel. This shower room project was a “down-to-the-studs” remodel in an existing log home. Finishes included Western Red Cedar plank walls, reminiscent of a Scandinavian sauna, as well as custom-made Douglas Fir cabinets, and trim. Brushed nickel finishes, and a bluestone tile floor bring visual contrast to this shower room remodel, accentuating the warmth of the natural wood walls and trim. This rustic-style, freestanding, food storage cabinet made from Ponderosa Pine was designed and built in our shop (shown), for use in a client’s cabin in the Cascade Mountains. Red Oak entertainment stand, with natural finish. Solid Red Oak table and bookstand, with dark stain finish. Dovetail drawer details, and freestanding cabinet, both Douglas Fir with natural finish.
